    Job Title: Metal Finisher

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Metal Finisher to join our team on the 1st shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for smoothing out rough edges and polishing metal using hand grinders and buffers. This role involves occasional assistance with spot welding and hardware machines, inspecting products for compliance with quality standards, and ensuring sheet metal is cut to specified lengths using tape measures and rulers. The position requires the physical ability to stack sheet metal weighing between 15-50 lbs.

    Responsibilities

    + Use hand grinders and buffers to smooth and polish metal surfaces.

    + Assist with spot welding machines and hardware machines as needed.

    + Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

    + Measure sheet metal using tape measures and rulers to ensure proper length.

    + Stack sheet metal ranging from 15 to 50 lbs.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of metal finishing experience.

    + 1+ year of blueprint reading experience.

    + Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

    + Proficiency in reading tape measures and understanding tolerance.

    + Experience with grinders, fabrication, and deburring.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to read blueprints.

    + Proficiency in shop math.

    + Experience in a sheet metal environment.

    + Prior experience in metal finishing and grinding.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in an extremely nice climate-controlled fabrication job shop, handling custom projects. Experience state-of-the-art equipment daily, as most machines are just a few years old.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Bear Lake, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
