Job Title: MIG Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to perform MIG welds on 18 gauge to 1/2 inch mild steel. The role involves fabricating and welding parts and assemblies for pavement maintenance equipment, safety railings, and other pavement machine components. You will perform butt and fill welds predominantly, along with necessary grinding and finishing on parts.
Responsibilities
+ Perform MIG welding on mild steel components.
+ Fabricate and assemble parts for pavement maintenance equipment.
+ Execute butt and fill welds efficiently.
+ Grind and finish parts as required.
+ Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of MIG welding experience and/or technical degree.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and weld symbols.
+ High school diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5+ years of MIG welding on mild steel is advantageous.
+ Experience with flux core and stainless steel welding.
+ Familiarity with blueprint reading and tape measure.
+ Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication.

Work Environment
Work in a large warehouse-type environment where we fabricate and assemble equipment for the industrial roofing industry. The workspace is clean and organized, predominantly using mild steel along with outsourced parts like motors, pneumatic, and electronics.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
