    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    Assist in the daily cleaning and upkeep of CNC machines, including chip removal, wiping down surfaces, and maintaining general machine cleanliness. Help with routine maintenance tasks such as refilling lubricants and coolants, cleaning or replacing machine filters, checking coolant and oil levels, and emptying chip bins and coolant tanks. Report any unusual machine behavior, leaks, or wear to the maintenance lead or supervisor. Follow the machine builder maintenance schedule and the schematics from the manufacturer, driven by Unipoint reports which populate daily. Maintenance tasks will be assigned based on each report.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of CNC machines.

    + Assist with routine maintenance tasks like refilling lubricants and coolants.

    + Clean or replace machine filters and check coolant and oil levels.

    + Empty chip bins and coolant tanks regularly.

    + Report any unusual machine behavior, leaks, or wear.

    + Follow the machine builder maintenance schedule and manufacturer schematics.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in using hand tools, mechanical, and pneumatics.

    + Strong troubleshooting and mechanical experience.

    + Ability to perform mechanical repairs on machinery.

    + Experience working with an Ohm meter.

    + Knowledge of lockout and tagout procedures.

    + Familiarity with CNC maintenance and preventive maintenance.

    + Understanding of schematics.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong mechanical skills, experience working with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair tools.

    + Experience in rebuilding engines or performing different mechanical builds.

    Work Environment

     

    Work hours are from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with some overtime and occasional Saturday work. Maintenance tools will be provided.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
