    Job Title: Lead Mechanic

    Job Description

    As a Lead Mechanic, you will be responsible for assembling and maintaining truck-mounted drilling rigs. This role involves integrating hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components, and using blueprints to guide the assembly of drill sections before they are mounted on trucks. The work is primarily focused on assembling new drill rigs, with a smaller portion dedicated to servicing and repairing existing rigs.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble and maintain truck-mounted drilling rigs, integrating hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components.

    + Interpret and apply blueprints, technical drawings, and hydraulic schematics during assembly and troubleshooting.

    + Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic issues in both new and existing equipment.

    + Install and troubleshoot advanced automotive electrical systems, including sensors, control modules, and wiring harnesses.

    + Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure quality and efficiency in rig assembly.

    + Provide mentorship and guidance to junior mechanics and assemblers.

    + Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service procedures.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical troubleshooting, particularly with hydraulic systems.

    + Auto Electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and use of volt meter.

    + Ability to read blueprints and hydraulic schematics.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Associates degree in auto or industrial technology.

    + Experience in diesel repair work.

    + Experience with hydraulic or electrical/controls.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
