Your role at Clorox:
The Dock Coordinator is responsible for effectively directing PDC resources and time to deliver the day-to-day DC objectives. Successful candidate must be a strong team leader, highly influential within the team and possess business based decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential to this role.
In this role, you will:
Shipping Operations
+ Perform all EMW/S4 functionsregardingoutbound shipments
+ Perform daily preload list and send to PDC coordinators via email
+ Communicate with inbound/Outbound Coordinators on product and trailer issues. Keep empty trailersin doorsto keepshippingprocess flowing.
+ Notify PDC leadandorManager of forklift maintenance or battery issues needing repaired.
+ Notify contractedcompanyfor need of snow removal.
+ Notify PDC office if low on Chep, White wood,Asiaand heat-treated pallets.
Manages Shift Staffing** **on a Daily Basis
+ Strong Communication between shifts, FellowDCsand all associates
+ Responsible for shift exchange communication
+ Communication with schedulingensurecoverage between Shipping and PT based onamountof loads and number of lines running.
+ Make ATO decisions based on business needs-whether to offer and how many people
+ Gatherappropriate resourcesfor projects andimprovementwork.
+ Communicate call ins to incoming DC as well as PDC Supervisor.
+ Assign resources for various PDC tasks including cleaning drop lots or outside dock area.
+ DCs are responsibleto coverDC overtime.

+ Reports incidents, conducts orparticipatesin investigations, and helps to manage any incidents that occur.

+ Directdrivers and hostlers over the radio, phone, and face to face in a professional manner.
+ Communicate with carrier dispatch in a professional manner.
+ Positive working relationship with Production Supervisors or PDC Lead.
Supports Quality at the plant
+ Monitors quality within the department, ensuring load audits/seals and procedures areadheredtoo.
+ Help Production ensure that all potentiallybad qualityfinished goods are grouped together and placarded
Drive Recognition Activity
+ Suggests recognition through positive reinforcement of good behaviors.
+ EncouragesothertoutilizeBravo system by setting the example.

+ H.S. diploma or GED equivalent
+ Proficiencywith Microsoft Office (word, Excel,) Outlook, SAP and EWM/S4 (Vista)
+ Ability to be flexible with business needs and workindependently.
+ Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuousimprovement processes.
+ Demonstrateda strongattention to detail.
+ Demonstrated problem-solving skills & ability to review data to formulate solutions.
