    Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

     

    Start Date: January 7, 2026

     

    End Date: End of 2025–2026 School Year

     

    Modality: In-Person

    About the Role

    Amergis is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide quality instruction and support for middle school students (grades 5–8). You’ll collaborate with general education staff, write IEPs, and work with a small caseload in a supportive environment.

    Position Highlights

    + Caseload: 10 students

    + Classroom Type: Middle School, push-in model with para support

    + Responsibilities:

    + Write and implement IEPs

    + Provide specialized instruction

    + Address behavioral needs

    + Collaborate with general education teachers

    + Interview: Virtual with SPED Director

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

    + Valid state teaching certificate (Special Education endorsement preferred)

    + Experience in a teaching environment (preferred)

    + CPR certification (if applicable)

    + TB screening and health clearance

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years old
