Description
Exempt Position: Residential Program Manager Qualifications: Minimum age requirement of twenty- one (21) years; one (1) year Experience in working with individuals with an intellectual disability; have a valid driver’s license; have a high school diploma or GED. Immediate Supervisor: Director of Residential Services Duties and Responsibilities: The Residential Program Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations of all aspects and functions of the group homes; directly supervises DSP’s; and will: • Support the Lead DSP in developing and planning social and community activities; • Participate in the developments of Individual Service Plans (ISP) by attending meetings; Completing annual worksheets required to create and update the ISP; • Maintain a safe environment by reporting any needed facility tasks to the Facilities department; • As part of a daily task, will approve the hours entered into the payroll system by the DSP’s; • Review and ensure the development of schedules is completed, and assist with shift coverage as necessary; • Schedule the acclimation of newly assigned DSP’s with regard to the home and the care of the individuals; complete on-site evaluation checklist; forward to staff training and development; • Attend house meetings and provide support to the Lead to encourage critical items are discussed; • Create monthly menu’s based on individual diets and according to individual diets; • Ensure that the Lead DSP’s are maintaining housekeeping responsibilities, i.e., cleaning and organization of the home; • Weekly review of the Medication Administration Record to ensure accuracy and completion; • Review or complete Unusual Incident Reports; • Delegate or complete food shopping for the individuals based on individuals’ preferences; • Support the Individuals with their spending of PNA funds; • Ensure that receipts are received and maintained according to the agency policy and procedure; • Review documentation from medical appointments to ensure that medical needs are being met; • Ensure that daily assigned progress notes in THERAP are completed; • Ensure that the daily attendance is completed in THERAP; • Update THERAP record as needed based on any changes for the individuals and annually during ISP meetings, including developmental changes, regression in functions, and levels of support; • Ensure that all DSP’s are completing and reviewing the daily communication log; • Review and sign off on all daily communication logs; • Complete all other program assignments, activities and tasks as delegated by the Associate Director of Residential Services; • Will cooperate with the Department of Human Services staff and P.I.L.O.T. investigation personnel in any investigation, inquiry, or inspection; and • Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Minimum age requirement of twenty- one (21) years
+ Two (2) years' Experience in working with individuals with an intellectual disability
+ have a valid driver’s license
+ have a high school diploma
+ A valid NJ driver's license with less than 5 points
