Weyerhaeuser in Holden, LA is accepting applications for our CDK/Kiln Supervisor position.
The CDK/Kiln Supervisor will provide leadership excellence to multiple teams of hourly associates in achieving safety, quality and production goals in the area of continuous dry kiln operation. This is a full-time exempt position reporting to the Mill Manager and plays a key role in the mill leadership team. This position will also have additional responsibilities for Kilns Operations, Kiln Start-ups, and Kilns subject matter expert throughout Southern Lumber sites and travel to those sites as required.
*The position includes the following duties/functions:*
• The CDK/Kiln Supervisor will provide leadership excellence to hourly associates in achieving safety, quality and production goals. This individual is responsible for safely planning, coordinating and maintaining operational schedules and maintenance to ensure continuous process improvement with this innovative drying technology.
• The CDK/Kiln Supervisor is expected to be a role model in our safety standards and on-the-job behavior by living our core principles of integrity; fairness, creating a positive work environment, and ensuring open communication among associates. Accountabilities include ensuring compliance with all applicable Weyerhaeuser, federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• This position will be responsible for developing and leading team meetings and trainings, meeting productivity and reliability goals, identifying safety, quality and production issues, and coordinating reliability work with maintenance teams. Additionally, the CDK Manager leads the team by proactively resolving employee issues, builds team work, and ensures adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
• This position will have additional responsibilities for Kilns Operations, Kiln Start-ups, and Kilns subject matter expert throughout Southern Lumber sites and travel to those sites as required.
• 3- 5 years' experience in manufacturing and/or wood products drying processes
• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience
• Work related experience in leading and ensuring compliance with safety initiatives
• Knowledge of safe and efficient operational and maintenance of thermal energy processes and components
• Data drive decision-making using solid analytical skills
• Communications and interpersonal skills consistent with managing multiple priorities in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to raise performance by building and maintaining positive relationships with all associates
• Willing and able to work all shifts, including weekends
• Strong work ethic, good judgment and decision-making skills
*The following qualifications are preferred:*
• Hands-on experience working in a lumber manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Maintenance Planning Software, such as Maximo or SAP
*What We Offer:*
*Compensation*: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $81,313-$121,970.00 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

*Paid Time Off or Vacation*: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
