The UPMC Center for Emergency Medicine is looking to hire a Check Airmen to support MedEvac.
Schedule:
+ 8-hour shifts with flexible schedule
Purpose:
The STAT MedEvac Aviation Department Check Airman is responsible for the training and examination of CEM pilots in accordance with the approved training program.
Responsibilities:
+ Inform the Director of Training as to the results of each ground school or flight check.
+ Ensure the standardization and adherence of all Federal Aviation Regulations, CEM and Administrator directives, policies and procedures.
+ Conduct flight checks and ground schools as scheduled by the Director of Training.
+ Assist in manpower requirements as needed to staff base sites.
+ Complete all necessary training forms and company paperwork in a timely manner.
+ Coordinate all training events through Director of Training for inclusion on weekly maintenance and training schedule.
+ 1 year experience as a STAT MedEvac master pilot.
+ 1 year flight instruction experience either as a designated STAT MedEvac company flight instructor, FAA designated CFI/CFII or DPE, or as a designated primary/advanced military flight instructor in the respective services training command.
+ Complete CEM Check Airman Training Curriculum
+ 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ Airline Transport Pilot OR Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
+ Second Class Airman Medical Certificate
+ Act 34
