The Deschutes Brewery Bend Public house is currently hiring for Part-Time front of house staff to join our team! This is a hybrid position between the support team and serving. We will keep the posting open until this position has been filled.

Overview: We are looking for talented and experienced Servers/Front of House Support Staff, who are driven, excel in a fast-paced restaurant, and are committed to the highest standards of quality and presentation with a guest first focus. Responsible for taking guest orders, answering questions, selling food, drinks, and merchandise, processing payments, communicating orders with the kitchen team, restocking supplies, helping with customer service, and maintaining a clean and efficient workplace. A sense of urgency, positive attitude, attention to detail and commitment to quality are required!

The right person will be outgoing, positive and team oriented. Candidates will need to have excellent communication skills and thrive in challenging environments. Night and weekend availability is required.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

+ Maintain comprehensive menu and restaurant knowledge

+ Greet guests, answer questions, and take orders

+ Offer upsells

+ Follow the steps of service

+ Use POS to place order with kitchen

+ Delivery of food and drinks

+ Ongoing guest interaction

+ Clear plates

+ Present checks and accept payment

+ Follow our tip out policy and tip out accordingly

+ Keep station stocked, maintains cleanliness

+ Represent Deschutes as a Brand Ambassador

+ Provide feedback from guests

+ May perform training duties, including:

+ Attend Server Trainer meetings as assigned

+ Extended shifts on training days

+ Familiarize new serving staff with company policies and menu

+ Demonstrate proper serving procedures while being shadowed

+ Engage in ongoing communication with trainee

+ Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times

+ Present an optimistic view of employment with Deschutes while training

+ Assign training tasks as needed

+ Observe and offer feedback to trainee and manager team

+ Serve as a mentor and positive example to new staff even when not training directly

+ Must follow and adhere to all Deschutes Brewery company policies and procedures

+ Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements of the position:

+ 3 or more years' serving experience preferred

+ Valid OLCC License and Food Handlers card are required upon hire

+ Excellent communication

+ Ability to work as part of a team and individually

+ Problem solving and decision-making skills

+ Maintains a professional attitude and appearance

+ Strong organizational and high-level communication skills

+ Attention to cleanliness and safety standards a must
