    This position oversees multiple, interrelated initiatives that support organizational, regional, and state-level objectives, including Chest Pain Center certification, performance improvement, and service line sustainability. The Manager serves as a visible clinical leader, mentor, and change agent—balancing hands-on engagement with data-driven program oversight.

     

    What You'll Do

    Key Responsibilities

    Program Leadership & Strategy

    + Lead the design, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing optimization of the ACS program in alignment with Heart & Vascular Institute strategic goals.

    + Direct multiple concurrent projects that support market growth, operational efficiency, and long-term program sustainability.

    + Serve as the subject-matter expert for ACS standards, accreditation, and best practices.

    Quality, Performance & Certification

    + Maintain and advance Chest Pain Center certification, ensuring readiness for audits, surveys, and regulatory reviews.

    + Develop, monitor, and act upon clinical and operational metrics to drive continuous quality improvement.

    + Conduct comprehensive data analysis, identify trends, and implement evidence-based improvements with measurable outcomes.

    Clinical Engagement & Team Development

    + Dedicate approximately 50% of time in visible, on-site engagement with teams caring for ACS patients, providing mentorship, education, and real-time support.

    + Direct, evaluate, and provide performance feedback to interdisciplinary professionals participating in ACS initiatives.

    + Organize and lead educational opportunities for clinical staff, physicians, and community stakeholders.

    Operational & Stakeholder Collaboration

    + Build credibility and strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, as well as with external partners and regulatory bodies.

    + Coordinate complex activities spanning multiple departments, facilities, and service lines.

    + Support additional certified programs and assist with special projects within the Heart & Vascular Institute as needed.

    Community & Continuum of Care

    + Support community education initiatives, risk-factor management programs, inpatient protocols, post-acute care pathways, and ongoing quality monitoring.

    + Ensure seamless coordination across the continuum of care to enhance patient outcomes and experience.

    What We're Looking For

    + Education

    + Bachelor’s Degree (required)

    + Graduate of an accredited program as a:

    + Registered Nurse (RN), or

    + Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R)

    + Graduate Degree (preferred)

    Experience

    + Minimum 5 years of related clinical or program experience involving the care of acute cardiac patients (required)

    + Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare or related setting (required)

    Licensure & Certifications

    + Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R) – ARRT Radiology (required)

    + BLS and ACLS (required)

    + Registered Nurse (RN), North Carolina Board of Nursing License (preferred)
