    _POSITION OVERVIEW:_

    _Reporting to the Director of Group Sales, the Group Sales Manager is responsible for actively prospecting and qualifying new business. They will also produce and/or review all sales contracts, rate agreements, and/or banquet/catering event orders for the groups in their segment._

    _DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:_

    + _Actively prospect and qualify new business_

    + _Monitor and handle inquiry calls and emails_

    + _Provide client proposals in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures_

    + _Produce and/or review all sales contracts, rate agreements and banquet event orders_

    + _Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients_

    + _Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue and room night goals_

    + _Produce monthly sales-related reports and sales forecasts for segment_

    + _Attend and represent hotel at trade shows and conventions and/or participate in sales trips to key feeder markets_

    + _Additional duties as assigned_

    _QUALIFICATIONS:_

    _Requirements include some College plus 1-2 years sales or marketing related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience and a related degree is preferred. Prior hotel sales experience is also preferred._

     

    _You must be able to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, etc. and may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays._
