Plant Manager

Reporting to the Area Plant Director, the Plant Manager will be responsible for approximately 10 direct reports, equipment and operations of the Houston, TX location. The plant Manager will carry out duties in the ares of production, inventory, management, productivity, cost control, capital management, safety and site performance.
_Essential Functions of the role:_
+ Interface with plant staff on a daily basis to include management of the Houston, TX team of plant operators
+ Interface with the Logistics Manager & Operations Supervisor/Lead to troubleshoot plant/product issues
+ Oversee the receipt, sorting and planning all incoming sales and orders
+ Serves as the customer contact when needed
+ Troubleshoots logistics related problems
+ Responsible for the management of a small team of plant opertors, buyer, bulk load planner, and operations analyst to include the training, day-to-day duties & performance reviews
+ Serve as the point of contact for any plant issues for this location
+ Oversee all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Programs and compliance for the production site, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while driving a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement
+ Drive the successful planning, execution and timely delivery of capital projects
**Qualifications** :
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of experience, **Required**
+ Strong aptitude for basic math and attential to detail in sequential work, **Required**
+ Experience in a manufacturing plant, **Required**
+ Basic understanding of computers and computer-controlled equpment, **Required**
+ General knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word and the Internet, **Required**
+ Able to read and write in English, **Required**
