    Job Summary and Responsibilities

    **Creighton University Medical Center and CHI Health** seek to recruit a visionary leader to serve as the **Chief of Palliative Medicine** and expand our clinical, research, and educational activities within our Division of Palliative Medicine. The leader will join an established group within a large integrated health care system with a newly approved Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship with significant interest and involvement with the Internal Medicine Residency Program and students within the School of Medicine.

     

    The successful candidate will oversee the growth of the division's established programs and the expansion and management of the Division of Palliative Care. The Chief will be responsible for the leadership and oversight of all programs within the Division of Palliative Care and all affiliated hospital sites.

     

    + Working in an academic and teaching environment educating Creighton University’s palliative fellows, residents, and medical students at CHI Health and Creighton University School of Medicine.

    + Recruitment of new faculty

    + Reporting to the Chair of Medicine at Creighton University and CHI Health

    + Leads the development of research and scholarly initiatives

    Job Requirements

    + Fellowship trained in Palliative Medicine

    + Track record of scholarly and educational accomplishments at the Associate Professor or Professor level

    + American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty

    + A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible
