Our client, a leading logistics and freight forwarding organization, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their team. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be an essential part of the operations supporting the air import department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Logistics Coordinator

**Location:** Jamaica, NY

**Pay Range:** $20

**Shift:** 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday to Friday

What's the Job?

+ Provide high-quality customer service by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and operational teams.

+ Prepare, analyze, and submit documentation to ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations.

+ Anticipate, identify, and resolve issues that could delay freight movement or release.

+ Coordinate out-of-gauge, Hazmat, and ITAR shipments, ensuring all safety and regulatory standards are met.

+ Assist with account implementation, including developing SOPs with customers, operations, and sales teams.

What's Needed?

+ High school diploma or GED equivalent.

+ Proficient computer skills and familiarity with freight forwarding or logistics operations.

+ Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.

+ Knowledge of air export regulations, Schedule B tariff classification, and international trade banking requirements.

+ Basic math skills for conversions and currency evaluations, with some experience in checking ETA, contacting airlines, and working with CFS.
