As a **Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol** in **Springfield, IL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence for all visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Monitor for and report any unusual activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

+ Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a visible presence.

+ Support access control procedures and verify credentials as required for entry to secure areas.

+ Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as directed by Allied Universal or site management.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

+ Possess an armed guard card or license.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
