    Key Responsibilities:

    Under direct supervision, performs bookkeeping and accounting tasks.

     

    * Posts journal or voucher entries, reconciles accounts, and checks for accuracy.

    * Verifies, sorts, posts, and checks claims, bills, invoices, and vouchers.

    * Typically requires a high school education or equivalent.

    * Frequently reports to a Accounting Supervisor.

    * Performs light clerical duties within an accounting function.

    * May type, match payments, check items on purchase orders, prepare bank deposits and perform other routine calculations with specific instructions.

    * Have 10-key skills by touch or sight.

    * Is familiar with computers (and basic principles of A/P or A/R).

    * Performs basic accounting functions requiring knowledge of accounts payable and receivable and of bank reconciliation functions.

    * Answers customer inquiries.

    * Researches problems and/or complaints.

    * Creates and edits spreadsheets.

    * Can perform any combination of routine calculating, posting and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.

    Requirements:

    *7-10 years of experience
