Overview

BigBear.ai is looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented Software Developer with DevSecOps expertise to join our team. In this role, you’ll work closely with web designers, architects, and clients in an Agile environment to deliver secure, high-quality software solutions. You’ll also support deployments on SIPR and JWICS enclaves and ensure compliance with government security standards.

What you will do

+ Develop well-structured, testable, and efficient full-stack code

+ Ensure compliance with code standards and SBOM requirements for front-end and back-end dependencies

+ Analyze system requirements and translate them into technical solutions

+ Partner with subject matter experts and designers to solve complex, open-ended problems

+ Provide timely progress updates and flag delivery risks

+ Participate in sprint planning, story definition, and effort estimation

+ Implement new and existing systems, solutions, and processes

+ Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle

What you need to have

+ Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

+ 5+ years of experience in web-based software engineering or systems development

+ Proficiency in Angular, C# (.NET Framework), or other modern web stacks

+ Experience deploying code to SIPR and/or JWICS environments

+ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices

+ Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases

+ Experience working in Agile teams

+ Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions

+ Hands-on experience with collaboration and version control tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, Git)

What we'd like you to have

+ Current TS/SCI or Secret clearance

+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

+ Experience with DoD data systems

+ Full-stack development experience delivering diverse business solutions

+ Front-end UI development skills

+ Solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and design patterns

+ Knowledge of distributed systems and system architecture

+ Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and application abstraction

+ Experience with relational, NoSQL, and graph databases
