What you’ll achieve

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

• Contribute to the design and architecture of new or re-engineered software/storage environments

• Prepare written software/storage specifications for sophisticated products from architectural diagrams and documents

• Build and review design, functional, technical and/or user documentation, as needed

• Develop, review and implement test strategies for software products and systems

Essential Requirements

• 3–5 years of related experience as a Software Engineer

• Validated knowledge of programming languages like **C/C++** ; operating systems knowledge **Unix/Linux** ; device drivers; system, network, operating system programming, and application administration; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities;

• Ability to code/debug more sophisticated programs using either written or verbal design specifications; Use software Debugging tools like **GDB, C/Shell/Perl** Scripts or develop your own quick debugging technique inside the code to debug issues. Understanding the use case and suggesting the right course of action for debugging is essential

• Capacity to achieve proficiency of new tools, languages and operating systems with training and on-the-job experience; Analyze and enhance the stability, scalability, and performance of the product over time

• Represents the organization on project teams and may perform technical project leadership roles as he/she matures in the team

Desirable Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree

• Experience with VMware vMotion/vVols is a plus

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position: $122,400 to $158,400
