    Job Title: Quality Lab Technician

    Job Description

    The Quality Lab Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet quality specifications through various testing methods. This role involves testing viscosity, salt content, and color, performing allergen environmental swabs, and documenting results. Technicians also communicate findings with supervisors and managers.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct wet chemistry testing on products to assess viscosity, salt content, and color.

    + Perform allergen environmental swabs to ensure safety and compliance.

    + Document results accurately in the designated program and maintain clear records.

    + Assist with handling raw materials and managing product specifications and holds.

    + Perform data entry related to food safety programs and databases.

    + Generate end-of-shift reports to summarize findings and activities.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in a science discipline or equivalent lab experience.

    + 2 years of experience in food manufacturing quality labs or a related field.

    + Proficiency in general wet chemistry techniques.

    + Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in teams.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Organizational skills for efficient task management.

    + Flexibility to train on the first shift for a month.

    + Open to recent chemistry graduates with relevant lab experience.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manteno, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
