    Description

    We are seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to support a local construction company during an active audit and ongoing operations. This role will serve as a lead accountant, handling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, QuickBooks management, and general bookkeeping to help organize and fill gaps across our financial records. The position will also coordinate closely with a project accountant focused on construction/job-cost accounting, including invoice processing and communication between the field and accounting. This is a full-time, on-site role (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.) and requires someone who can step in quickly, work independently, and bring structure to a high-volume, detail-driven environment.

     

    Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management.

     

    • Strong knowledge of General Ledger and journal entry processes.

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks for bookkeeping and financial management.

    • Experience with bank reconciliations and audit support.

    • Ability to work independently and manage high-volume, detail-driven tasks.

    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

    • Familiarity with construction or job-cost accounting is a plus.

    • Effective communication skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
