Description

We are looking for a dedicated Plant Controller to oversee financial operations and provide strategic guidance for a manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operational leadership. The position requires a proactive approach to managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.

• Collaborate with operations teams to optimize financial performance and cost management.

• Lead efforts to maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

• Monitor key financial metrics and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.

• Supervise accounting staff and provide mentorship to enhance team capabilities.

• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and improve operational efficiency.

• Support strategic planning by providing financial data and recommendations.

• Coordinate audits and ensure documentation is accurate and complete.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes.

Requirements • Proven experience in financial management within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting.

• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Familiarity with compliance standards and internal controls.

• Effective communication and leadership skills for team collaboration.

• Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA is preferred.
