Description

We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Houston, Texas. This role requires someone with strong expertise in payroll management and accounting systems to ensure seamless payroll processing and compliance. The position is 100% onsite and offers the opportunity to work closely with the manager during the contract period. This is a part time position working 4 hours in office Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now and other accounting software.

• Manage employee benefits administration, including 401k and RRSP enrollments and updates.

• Ensure compliance with relevant payroll regulations and company policies.

• Conduct audits to verify payroll data and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Collaborate with the manager to address payroll-related issues and improve processes.

• Administer time and attendance tracking systems to maintain accurate records.

• Handle tax filings and reporting requirements in accordance with local and federal laws.

• Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information and sensitive data.

• Provide support during the transition period to cover for maternity leave.

• Generate payroll reports and summaries for management review.

Requirements • Proven experience working with ADP Workforce Now and other payroll systems such as Ceridian and Dayforce.

• Strong knowledge of payroll functions, tax compliance, and benefit administration.

• Familiarity with accounting software and auditing processes.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely.

• Proficiency in managing time tracking systems and attendance records.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Availability to work onsite in Houston, Texas during the contract period.
