Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Azure/M365 Engineer to join their team, supporting cloud transformation and optimization initiatives. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Azure and M365 environments in line with security standards, business goals, and cloud strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design, deploy, and manage Azure and M365 infrastructure components, including virtual machines, networking, storage, databases, and collaboration platforms.

+ Integrate and support hybrid environments by connecting on-premises systems with Azure/M365 services.

+ Lead efforts in identity and access management (IAM), including SSO, MFA, and privileged access management.

+ Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates using tools like Terraform and PowerShell.

+ Implement best practices for scalability, security, cost optimization, and resource monitoring.

+ Collaborate across Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, and Application teams to support deployments, troubleshoot incidents, and enforce governance policies.

+ Produce architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and technical documentation for planned initiatives.

+ Manage cost controls, backup, disaster recovery solutions, and ensure compliance with both internal policies and industry regulations.

+ Conduct regular audits, compliance checks, and optimization reviews of Azure/M365 environments.

+ Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as PowerAutomate, Logic Apps, and Python scripting.

+ Stay current with platform updates and emerging cloud technologies.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).

+ Microsoft certifications (Azure/M365 Administrator Associate or Solutions Architect) highly desirable.

+ Proven experience in cloud engineering, IT infrastructure, or enterprise systems integration.

+ Hands-on expertise in deploying, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Azure and M365 in large-scale enterprise or compliance-focused environments.

+ Strong knowledge of Azure networking, security, identity management, and storage.

+ Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and automation best practices.

+ Experience working in regulated industries such as legal, finance, healthcare, or public sector preferred.

+ Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

+ Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
