Responsibilities
What You'll Get To Do:
Director of Business Operations, engineering and construction responsible for launching and managing engineering and construction business operation capability North America to serve major national and multinational client’s needs in the Gigawatt facility engineering, construction and modification.
Key Accountabilities** **:
+ Director responsible for launching and managing engineering and construction business operations based in North America.
+ Overall-in-charge of a projected 100-million-dollar business operation and projects.
+ Oversee high-technology, manufacturing and industrial facility projects (Gigawatt factories).
+ Create and establish an office in North Carolina to best facilitate interaction with high-profile clients.
+ Responsible for company office policies, payment systems, and vendor purchase protocols.
+ Manage marketing including client engagement, coordination, sales support, and contact.
+ Lead company registration, and general contractors license across multiple states as needed.
+ Provide strategic leadership for multidisciplinary professional engineering (PE) operations, including mechanical, electrical, civil, and process disciplines.
+ Oversee cross-functional professional engineering (PE) teams ensuring technical integration and alignment with project objectives.
+ Construction management. Manage multiple aspects of the construction process including construction staff, subcontract reviews, negotiations, and site planning.
+ Construction management. Manage subcontractors including cost negotiation, reviewing project schedules and scope of work, and progress payments.
+ Supervision of numerous skilled laborers across multiple trades
Basic Qualifications
+ Responsible managing director for business operation providing engineering and construction service for billion dollar Gigawatt client.
+ Oversees business office operations, engineering and construction, including finance, procurement, and administrative support, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and governance.
+ Oversee engineering and construction projects up to $100 million, delivering on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
+ Provides direct leadership to 5–10 Professional Engineers, in addition to team project management, construction, and administrative disciplines, fostering accountability and high-performance results.
+ Oversees multiple subcontractors and indirectly potentially 200 skilled trades, optimizing resource allocation and aligning performance with project objectives.
+ Aligns multi-disciplinary teams with business goals, drives operational excellence, and oversees departmental budgets, staffing, and processes.
+ Experienced in cross-functional collaboration across project execution, corporate office, and client-facing teams to achieve organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Education & Experience** **:
+ Bachelor’s degree in operations management. At least two years of formal education in engineering fundamentals.
+ Field experience implementing designs to construction. 4 years’ direct experience supervising skilled trades and subcontractors in the field.
+ Experience as a construction manager and project manager for multi-million-dollar high technology factories and cleanroom projects.
+ International experience with multinational clients and vendors.
+ Experience leading multinational engineering and construction methods and operations.
+ Experience in contract management and subcontractor contract negotiations.
+ Hands-on leadership experience implements engineering and construction functions to ensure that project execution aligns with technical standards, client requirements, and business objectives.

+ Inspires and motivates multidisciplinary teams across engineering, project management, and field operations.

+ External: Engages clients, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies to secure approvals, ensure compliance, and drive project performance. Requires negotiation and influence to align external stakeholders with organizational goals.
+ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitates coordination between corporate offices, project execution teams, and clients, fostering consensus, resolving conflicts, and ensuring operational excellence.
Other Requirements** **:
+ Local and national travel for meetings with clients, contractors, and engineering firms. Temporary relocation for project delivery. Business office and jobsite office travel. Sales and marketing travel.

The wage range of $156,400 - $216,000 Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
