Facility:Dayton Children's - Tech TownDepartment:Billing AdministrationSchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:The Senior Director of Finance reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will lead a team of Finance professionals for the enterprise. This position is highly matrixed to all business leaders in the enterprise. He/she will be responsible for developing a high performing results driven finance team for all affiliated organizations related to Dayton Children’s Hospital and related entities. The goal is to improve the bottom-line performance of DCH. The position will partner closely with senior management to optimize business performance and ensure an integrated approach to the finance function.
The Senior Director of Finance will have the responsibility of directly overseeing several departments and processes within financial operations at Dayton Children’s Hospital. These could include departments and processes such as Financial Planning and Analysis, Budget Development, Long Range Financial Planning, Payer Relations, Revenue Integrity, and Reimbursement/Net Revenue. In addition to these direct responsibilities, this role will be responsible for strategic alignment with operational areas including Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Supply Chain, and all Revenue Cycle related departments. This role will also be the key leader within the finance department structure in coordinating and managing the strategic finance processes and organizational venture planning.
The Senior Director’s core responsibilities are to coordinate the activities of each of these operational areas in a way that supports the mission and strategy. This role will serve as a key resource for the CFO in ensuring that the organizational financial operations and performance have alignment with the overall strategy of the organization. Tracking and awareness of ongoing Key Performance Indicators, outstanding issue resolution, project tracking, and overall organizational financial acumen, transparency, and accountability will all be key components of this role.
Department Specific Job Details:
Required Experience Education Must have either a master’s degree in finance, healthcare administration, accounting, or other related field, or an active CPA Licensure (requires a bachelor's degree). Experience 5- 10 years of healthcare leadership and management experience with demonstrated ability to successfully effectuate change. Experience in managing and creating data visualization in a way that effects performance and change. Knowledge of hospital and physician practice operations. Understanding or finance, IT, revenue cycle, managed care plans/contracts. Microsoft Office Suite—Word, Excel, Power Point. Strong communication/interpersonal skills. Success and performance in financial reporting. Preferred Experience Specific experience in working closely with staff of all levels in the healthcare setting including front line staff, management, C-Suite members, and physicians/providers of various types. Previous experience navigating a healthcare environment in a way that has improved performance and impacted strategy. Previous experience working with EPIC, Stratajazz, Workday, and SQL. Knowledge of Regulatory Agencies Requirements.
