    Performs a variety of cleaning duties within Dietary Services. Garnishes patient trays, loads and unloads patient trays from tray trucks and strips patient trays. Stock condiment bar.

    Job Description:

    Essential Responsibilities including but not limited to:

    1. Work in Dishroom:

    + Strip patient trays ans scrape dishes.

    + Operate and load dish machines.

    + Unload and stock dishes.

    + Store dishes, cups, glasses, trays and utensils on lowerators.

    + Sort silverware.

    + Clean tables

    + Sweep and mop floor.

    + Clean truck room.

    2. Work in pot area:

    + Receive or obtain pots.

    + Operate, load and unload pot machine.

    + * Manually wash pots and utensils.

    + * Store pots and utensils on racks.

    + * Operate and load POWER SOAK.

    + * Fill WASH PLUS sanitize sinks.

    + * Wash kettles as needed.

    + * Twice daily break down trayline steamtable.

    + * Break down POWER SOAK and sinks before shift ends.

    + * Sweep and mop floor.

    + * Clean tables.

    3. Work in Coffee Shop:

    + Clean and stock Coffee Shop.

    + Operate and load dish machine.

    + Unload and stock dishes.

    + Store dishes, cups, glasses and utensils on lowerators.

    + Bring trash to main dishroom.

    + Sweep floor before leaving.

    + Bring pots to POWER SOAK main pot area.

    4. Work in Cafeteria:

    + Replenish items in stock condiment area, such as but not limited to, mustard, ketchup, sugar, straws, napkins and utensils.

    + Clean and stock vending area.

    + Clean microwave in vending area.

    5. Work in Kitchen:

    + Sweep and mop kitchen floor twice daily.

    + Remove all trash from cafeteria and kitchen on a continual basis.

    6. Work in Trayline Area:

    + Garnish patient trays.

    + Load trays onto tray trucks and deliver to nursing units.

    + Pick up tray trucks from nursing units and deliver to dishroom.

    + Wash microwaves.

    7. Responsible for other related cleaning functions within the Food & Nutrition Services Department following prescribed methods:

    + Clean ovens.

    + Wash large production equipment.

    + Wash floors and walls.

    + Wash barrels.

    + Wash utility carts and ladder carts.

    + Polish all stainless steel.

    + Wash hand sinks.

    + Clean grill hoods and sinks.

    + Clean pot areas and stainless steel and tubing outside of steamers.

    + Clean up after functions.

    + The employee participates in the ongoing process of quality improvement within the designated area of Food & Nutrition Services.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education: High School Degree preferred

     

    Licensure, Certification, Registration: none

    Skills:

    + Capable of following oral and written instructions.

    + Manual dexterity required.

    + One to three months to become proficient in all basic duties.

    + Must be able to read and write english

    Pay Range:

    $17.00 - $22.88

     

    The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
