    *_SUMMARY_*

    We are currently seeking a part-time*Staff Nurse RN*(0.9 FTE) to join our Chronic Wound Care Clinic in downtown Minneapolis. This is part-time position working day shift during the week.

     

    *_RESPONSIBILITIES_*

    Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

    * Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health

    * Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care

    * Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response

    * Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others

    * Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care

    * Educating patient on their disease process

    * Assuring continuity of care

    * Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being

    *_QUALIFICATIONS_*

    /*Minimum Qualifications:*/

    * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

    * Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota

    /*Preferred Qualifications:*/

    * One or more years of Wound experience

    * Certification in area of clinical specialty

    * BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review

    * Current CWCN certification by Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB). Or, willing to obtain

    within 12 months (note: this exam requires a Bachelor’s degree)
