Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic - Full-Time, Days

+ Work location: 501 Rita Lane, Suite 101, Arlington, TX 76104
+ Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
+ Travel: 25% to surrounding clinics as needed ( _mileage reimbursement provided_ )

Here's What You Need
+ High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
+ Graduate of a programmatically accredited program in cardiac ultrasound/echocardiography (preferred)
+ Registered by governing bodies in cardiovascular field of sonography registry such as ARDMS, RVT, CCI RCS or RVS (required)
+ RVT (strongly preferred)
+ 6 years' experience in field (required)
+ ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers RDCS Upon Hire (required) or
+ CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certification RCS Upon Hire (required) and
+ CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certification Advanced Cardiac Sonographer ACS Upon Hire (required)
+ Must possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases.
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
+ Possess the ability to self-motivate to maintain production standards without immediate direct supervision
What You Will Do
+ Assimilates History, Clinical, and Echocardiographic findings.
+ Performs patient assessment.
+ Integrates clinical history (signs, symptoms, medications).
+ Creates preliminary echo report (including critical findings).
+ Ensures report completeness and accuracy (e.g., IAC, ASE).
+ Produces two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures, using ultrasound equipment, for use by physician in diagnosis of heart disease and study of heart. Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed.
+ Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians.
+ Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. May perform therapeutic procedures.
+ Enters patient information into computer database to record information on video cassette and strip printout of test.
+ Create preliminary reports by interpreting and assessing Cardiovascular Heart Disease, Valvular Heart Disease, Structural Heart and Interventional Procedures.
+ Utilizes Advanced and Multi-Modality Imaging.
+ Perform 3 D imaging.
+ Perform Strain imaging.
+ Integrate muti-modality cardiac imaging.
+ Assess Congenital Heart disease.
+ Assess simple congenital heart disease pre-and post-repair.
+ Demonstrates professional practice.
+ Mentor fellows, student, resident and staff.
+ Develop and implement educational plans.
+ Facilitate continuous quality improvement.
+ Interpret clinical research principles.
+ Assist with Lab accreditation.
