    JOB SUMMARY

    The Rental Sales Representative will be responsible for representing rent-to-rent heavy construction and allied equipment lines. This position will also be sales representative for new and used allied equipment sales in a defined geographic territory. The Rental Sales Rep will consistently increase the customer base and rental revenue of new and used allied equipment sales. Occasional travel may be required.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    + A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

    + A college degree is preferred.

    + Must have in-depth knowledge of Caterpillar BCP equipment.

    + Three years of experience in the rental or sales of aerial/boom/scissor lifts, backhoe loaders, track-type tractors, generators, skid steer loaders, trench protection equipment, and other common allied equipment is preferred, training will be provided if necessary.

    + Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

    COMPETENCIES

    + Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

    + The ability to communicate effectively and work with customers and staff, as well as on an independent basis are both required.

    + Must be familiar with the geographic area that encompasses this territory.

    + Requires a highly motivated and energetic personality.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
