    ManTech (Fort Meade, MD)


    MANTECH** seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented **System Administrator** to join our team in **Ft. Meade, MD.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Creating and managing virtual environments

    + Systems administration of hardware and software in support of maintenance, developing and testing of information technology systems

    + Administration of Linux (i.e., Redhat/Rocky 8)

    + Basic Shell Scripting (Bash), PUTTY

    + Configuring and maintaining storage and file systems

    + Developing and delivering briefings, technical presentations, and program documentation to senior program management

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + 10+ years’ experience in systems administration of hardware and software in support of developing and testing of information technology systems with a Bachelor’s degree in a related computer science field

    + Able to perform server STE/STN Compliancy (ex., NESSUS, MacAfee Agents) and perform servermanagement relating to security tools such as patch management (applying O/S updates, IAVAs, and configuration changes)

    + Able to perform system administration on Linux Redhat 8/Rocky 8 (Command Line)

    + Demonstrated experience working with a team to introduce and integrate new technologies intoexisting production environments

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Strong Linux experience (command-line)

    + Build and maintain scalable cross-domain solutions.

    + Experience with building dataflows with NiFi.

    + Ability to troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced environment.

    + Support call in requests as needed.

    + Familiar with installing, troubleshooting, and maintenance on OS on Linux

    + Experience with installing PKI certs

    + Ability to launch and configure VMWare instances

    + Create/Maintain bash scripts to dump and load databases

    Clearance Requirement:

    + Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly

    Physical Requirements:

    + Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.

    + Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

    + Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as, the copy machine/fax machine/computer/printer.
