• Endoscopic Technologist - Colorectal Center

    *The primary purpose of the Endoscopic Technologist position is to assist in the coordination of patient care activities for endoscopic procedures.*

    *The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma or equivalent and bring a minimum of one year of endoscopy experience or two years of healthcare experience. Experience working in endoscopy, gastrointestinal (GI), or colorectal is preferred. *

    *Shift Details*

    The typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

    *Salary Range*

    • Annual: $49,500 minimum - $62,000 midpoint - $74,500 maximum

    • Hourly breakdown: minimum $23.80 - midpoint $29.81 - maximum $35.82

    *Key Responsibilities*

    • Responsible for the set-up, maintenance, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of all endoscopic, ultra-sound and laser equipment used in endoscopic procedures.

    • Cleans and prepares procedure rooms.

    • Assists the physician and registered nurse in caring for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.

    • Transports patients to appropriate locations.

    • Creates and edits report templates to be generated by the physicians.

    • Ensures dictated reports contain all pertinent information.

    • Contributes to maintaining inventory of supplies to provide full service to endoscopy.

    • Performs routine equipment maintenance.

    • Participates in the continuous monitoring and quality improvement efforts.

    EDUCATION

    Required: High school diploma/equivalent.

     

    Preferred: Graduation from a surgical technologist program.

    EXPERIENCE

    Required: One year of endoscopy experience or two years of healthcare experience. Certification from an approved endoscopy education program or graduation from a surgical technologist school may be substituted for the required experience.

     

    Preferred: Experience working in endoscopy, gastrointestinal (GI), or colorectal is strongly preferred.

    CERTIFICATION

    Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
