Job Description

**AECOM** is seeking a creative, highly talented **Senior Project Architect** . This position is to be based in **Columbus, OH** . We’re looking for a leader of design & technical excellence. One who is driven by a passion for delivering quality work, mentoring staff, and leading multi-disciplinary teams.

As a Senior Project Architect with recognized technical expertise and experience in demanding, design driven projects, you will lead interdisciplinary teams. Leveraging your industry experience and technical acumen, you will drive a wide range of project types and sizes through all phases of design, documentation, and construction.

You are a team leader and will have the opportunity to lead not only from a project perspective, but from a practice and culture standpoint. The right person will be an integral part of our architecture practice in the region.

**US West Buildings + Places** has a vast market spread and geography, providing opportunities across a wide range of project typologies, including Science & Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Commercial, Aerospace, Higher Education, Industrial and Process, Transportation, Aviation, Sports and Federal market sectors across the western United States and beyond. As a dynamic team of Architects, Planners, and Engineers we strive to incorporate beauty, sustainability, resiliency, and innovation in our projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ In partnership with the Project Director and/or Project Manager, you will lead a team, or multiple teams, in the design and technical documentation and delivery of a wide range of projects

+ Supporting the pursuit of exciting new projects

+ Prepare design and contract drawings using advanced design software tools

+ Develop solutions to a wide range of difficult technical problem.

+ Oversee the work of more junior designers and architects

+ Manage client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultant.

+ Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials

+ Provide quality control reviews of projects in the studio.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor of Architecture plus 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

+ Licensed as a registered architect

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience in a wide variety of production and visualization software including but not limited to: AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and PowerPoint

+ Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures

+ Certification as a LEED Accredited Professional by the USGBC

+ Ability to thrive in a collaborative, open office work environment

+ Diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $120000 to $150000.
