Job Summary:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for participating in the planning and administration of integrated logistics strategies, processes, and tools. Following standard policies and procedures, contributes to the support of customer requirements and objectives to ensure projects are achieved within budget and on schedule. Participates in continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as supportability analysis planning and database development processes, product support and replenishment system, product support data interchange systems, demand management and related functions. May participate in building relationships with customers through logistics initiatives, integrating learning from customers, competitors, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. Reviews contract logistics activities for compliance with standard processes.
+ Participates in planning logistics strategies, and establishing standard logistics processes and tools.
+ Coordinates logistics activities for selected projects, including logistics planning, training, supply chain activities from point of manufacturing through support, deployment, freight, warehousing, customer freight, order management, customer warehousing, customer store shipment, and customer placement.
+ Identifies logistics issues and participates in developing solutions to a variety of moderately complex problems while referring to standard policies, procedures and practices.
+ May participate in progress planning and review sessions to discuss costs, schedule, and technical performance.
+ May contribute to contract negotiations and contract modifications.
+ Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
+ Additional Functions: Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
+ Typically requires a bachelor's degree and three or more years of progressive logistics management experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
+ Must demonstrate a general understanding and application of logistics management concepts and principles and have proven skills such as organizing, scheduling, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.
+ Must possess the ability to contribute to the development of new processes and resolve non-routine technical matters.
+ Must be customer focused and possess:
+ the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of problems including supply chain activities
+ good analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings
+ good interpersonal skills
+ excellent computer skills
+ Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance is required.
