    Job Description

    Based in Hattiesburg, MS | Travel throughout Central & Southern MSTravel Required (Approx. 80%)

     

    Dependable, Tech-savvy IT Support Technician Professional. This role is hands-on and people focused. The person in this position will be technical support for end users across our 12 senior living communities throughout the state, mainly traveling daily throughout Central & South Mississippi. If you enjoy problem-solving, working with a variety of technologies, and don’t mind being on the road, keep reading.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Provide desktop and end-user support

    + Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues

    + Assist with Microsoft Cloud Services, including Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra ID (Azure AD), and SharePoint

    + Perform user account management, permissions, and security group administration

    + Support basic networking functions including switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity

    + Document incidents, changes, and procedures clearly and accurately

    + Assist with system updates, patching, backups, and security best practices

    + Escalate complex issues appropriately and work with vendors or senior IT staff as needed

    + Participate in on-call or after-hours support as required

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications :

    Required Skills & Qualifications

     

    + 2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support roles

    + Strong working knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems

    + Experience supporting Windows Server environments

    + Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and cloud-based services

    + Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)

    + Ability to troubleshoot problems methodically and communicate solutions clearly

    + Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Intune

    + IT related degree from an accredited educational institution

    + IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or equivalent experience

    + Experience supporting mid-sized business environments
