Join our outpatient care team! As a Medical Assistant, you’ll work closely with providers to deliver high-quality patient care through rooming patients, taking vitals, administering tests and immunizations, assisting with procedures, and managing follow-up tasks like calls, refills, and result reporting.

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides high-quality clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced ambulatory clinic setting. This role is responsible for patient intake, vital signs, clinical documentation, diagnostic testing, medication administration, and assisting providers during exams and procedures. The CMA serves as a key liaison between patients and the care team, ensuring timely, compassionate, and coordinated care while maintaining accurate electronic health records.
In addition to direct patient care, the CMA supports daily clinic operations, including scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, prescription coordination, exam room preparation, and real-time patient communication. The CMA participates in quality improvement initiatives, promotes patient safety and compliance, and works collaboratively within a team-focused healthcare environment.
EDUCATION: National Certification from an accredited medical assistant program required. Maintains knowledge, skills, and abilities through ongoing education and on-the-job training. Required to complete and pass annual competency training.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Current National Certified Medical Assistant designation required, valid and current Basic Life Support certification and re-certification every two years.
Aptitudes: Demonstrated ability to achieve cognitive, organization and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple tasks, stresses, deadlines, difficult situations and/or customers. Ability to conduct self professionally, including but not limited to: interpersonal/communication skills necessary for effective, non-judgmental, and empathetic patient care and customer relations. Demonstrated ability to accept feedback and adapt to a changing environment, which requires flexibility in scheduling and department assignments.
