Marketing Statement:
The Office of Occupational Health and Wellness is seeking an experienced health informatics leader to guide a dynamic team committed to improving workplace health outcomes. In this role, you will optimize electronic data systems, strengthen reporting, and deliver insights that support employee safety, wellness, and organizational readiness.
You will serve as a strategic advisor to departmental leadership, shaping the vision for how healthcare data is captured, analyzed, and applied across all Occupational Health & Wellness programs.
This position plays a critical role in modernizing our informatics capabilities enhancing surveillance, supporting evidence-based decision-making, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Minimum Qualifications
Education
+ A bachelor degree in the field of Health or Health Information Management or a related field.
+ In lieu of a Bachelor degree, a High School Diploma or GED, and an additional four (4) years of experience in healthcare informatics, systems configuration, systems planning, or database administration with some leadership experience in a healthcare client-facing capacity.
Experience
+ Eight (8) years of experience in healthcare-related data mining and analysis and including some leadership experience in a healthcare client-facing capacity.
+ Must include proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Python, Visual Studio, SQL, and other database reporting tools is required.
Certification/Licensure
+ None
Preferred
1. 1. Master degree in Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline.
2. Advanced knowledge of information systems configuration, data exchange, and systems design, computer operations, systems, and procedures; statistical, data analytical, and visualization applications.
3. Advanced knowledge of computer programming languages, and information security policies and procedures is preferred.

Job Summary
The Health Informatics Program Manager plays a strategic leadership role in driving data-informed healthcare transformation within the Office of Occupational Health and Wellness. This role combines advanced knowledge of healthcare data and regulatory standards Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act, Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act with informatics expertise to advance the adoption of standardized workflows and optimize electronic health record systems and other digital platforms. Key responsibilities include leading clinical informatics initiatives, conducting complex data analyses using tools such as Python, R, SQL, and Power BI, and translating data-driven insights into actionable strategies. The Program Manager coaches and mentor's informatics team members, ensuring alignment of analytics efforts with organizational goals to enhance program outcomes and operational efficiency.
Essential Functions
+ Defines and implements a data analytics strategy for healthcare initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
+ Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including clinical services, operational stakeholders, and the digital modernization team, to identify analytics opportunities that address key business challenges.
+ Oversees the design, implementation, and optimization of electronic health applications and systems, as well as an advanced analytics model that encompasses both prescriptive and descriptive analytics.
+ Develops dashboards, data visualizations, and predictive models to support workforce health and wellness initiatives and compliance monitoring.
+ Ensures the confidentiality, integrity, accuracy, and security of healthcare data while adhering to regulatory standards and best practices. Supports internal and external audits and responds to audit requests/questions.
+ Generates, compiles and reports analysis of the data and identifies trends and meaningful results, communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership, clinical staff, and operational stakeholders, translating complex data findings into actionable strategies.
+ Leads the health informatics team by providing mentorship and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

+ Analyzes complex healthcare data to generate actionable insights.
+ Guides optimization efforts to meet operational goals and compliance standards.
+ Validate data sources, maintain data quality, and contribute to data standardization efforts to comply with regulatory standards.
+ Maintains and promotes awareness and accountability with safety policies and procedures while performing job functions. Promotes a positive safety culture and encourages reporting of safety concerns consistent with our Agency Safety Plan, other regulatory requirements within the Safety Management System and just culture principles.
