This supervisory position will report directly to the site Facility Manager for multiple sites in Hudson, NH. The main campus and plant engineering offices are located at 65 River Road, Hudson, NH in the PTP02 facility. This campus consists of 190 acres, which supports two primary buildings totaling approximately 554,000 SF, housing approximately 1,200 employees including a Business Area VP and General Manager and our remote sites include a 122,981 SF Storage Warehouse facility inclusive of 13,981 SF of office space located at 36A Executive Drive in Hudson, NH.
The successful candidate will be part of a Plant Engineering team consisting of skilled tradespersons from the following disciplines: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Building Automation, General Maintenance and Chemical Handlers, a Facilities Manager, and a peer Supervisor.
The plant engineering team maintains and operates the identified properties and buildings, supporting a variety of space types including offices, various classes of clean rooms, various classified areas, manufacturing spaces, assembly spaces, R&D spaces and specialty labs.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment machinery, buildings, structures, and other facility infrastructure supporting the business.
+ Coordinates with in-house resources, building contractors, and service vendors to operate, maintain, service and repair building infrastructure.
+ Ensures building safety and adherence to applicable building codes.
+ Maintains and repairs/replaces building exterior shell, grounds & plantings, parking, walkways, and roadways providing safe and compliant entrance and egress to site and buildings.
+ Provides leadership for assigned in-house direct reports skilled and licensed in a variety of trade disciplines needed to operate, repair and maintain buildings. Execute required HR activities for assigned direct reports while adhering to company policy, procedures and guidance.
+ Acts as a construction project manager for commercial and industrial capital projects on site.
+ Coordinates in-house resources using computerized maintenance management system and Microsoft Office tools.
+ Works with regulatory requirements such as SPCC Plans, Above Ground Storage Tanks, Hazardous Waste Storage, Industrial Discharge Permits, and Lock Out / Tag Out procedures.
+ Leads and/or supports assigned facilities roles for Business Continuity, Emergency Response/Incident Management and other company programs designed to prevent and/or mitigate business interruption.
+ Supports building operations 24/7 with assigned resources needed to support the business.
+ Acts as POC and liaison for local, municipal, state and federal agencies and company insurance representatives.
+ Manages a number of building service contracts including but not limited to Custodial, Food/Cafeteria Service, Snow Removal, and Landscaping.
+ Collaborates with company functional representatives including but not limited to Safety & Health, Human Resources, Communications, Security, Finance and Purchasing to deliver needed facilities services in support of the business.
The successful candidate will have a safety-first attitude and will be required to take Incident Commander (HAZWOPPER) training.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain a secret clearance background check for classified space access required to service infrastructure equipment and other maintenance needs.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Bachelor s Degree with 5 years of industrial/commercial building operational experience.
+ Associates Degree with 7 years of industrial/commercial building operational experience.
+ Qualified Person Licensed in a skilled trade with 10 years of industrial/commercial building operational experience.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
The preferred candidate will have experience in a supervisory role with direct reports of various technical expertise. The preferred candidate will have experience with Facilities Operations and Repair & Maintenance budgeting & scheduling. Desired specific technical skills include but are not limited to Electrical Distribution and maintenance for commercial and industrial settings, Emergency Generators and Transfer Switches, Fire Alarm and Monitoring Systems.
This preferred candidate will have a proven successful record of communication skills (verbal and written) with direct reports, building occupants, lab coordinators, functional mangers and executive leadership. The preferred candidate will have experience in conflict resolution, rewards and recognition and labor compliance. The preferred candidate will hold a hazardous waste coordinator certificate (or have the aptitude to obtain certificate) and/or have experience with NHDES Chemical handling and Hazardous Waste management protocols.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
