Waste Control, a Waste Connections company, is hiring a Local Class A CDL Tractor-Trailer Driver to join the team in Longview, Washington!

This is a local long-haul trucking position pulling a 53-foot trailer with garbage and other live loads, from the Transfer station and Mills up to Headquarters Road for disposal.

_The schedule will be Monday – Friday 5:15am to 4:15 pm with Overtime often._

_Starting Rate of pay is $28.00/hr._

• **Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ **Valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement. Must have no restrictions and be able to drive interstate.**

+ **Ability to Operate and maneuver Tractor trailer hauling a 53’ Foot Trailer.**

+ **Ability to read route sheets or Tablet and service each customer identified or assigned by the dispatcher.**

+ **Perform Daily Pre-trip and Post-Trip inspections on vehicles. Such as checking fluids, safety equipment, lights and tire pressure.**

+ **Minimum 1+ years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.**

+ **Working knowledge of D.O.T. laws**

+ **Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.**

+ **Ability to work a physically demanding job.**

+ **Willingness to submit to and pass background check and pre-employment drug screening test**

+ **Ability to read, write and comprehend reports to complete daily assignments**

+ **Clean driving record.**

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

+ **Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.**

+ **Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.**

+ **The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.**
