Job Description:
Electrical Student Co Op Experience – Decatur Corn and East Plant Facilities
Electrical Student Co Op Program in partnership with RCC
This is a part time, hourly position.
Position Summary:
We are looking for individuals who would like to explore a new career opportunity offering new challenges and responsibilities within one of our Decatur Complex facilities. This experience will provide a unique opportunity to get started with an Electrical AC/DC course offered by Richand Community College, in combination with to online learning, job shadowing, and hands-on interactive methods.
Qualifications
+ Enrolled as a student of Richland Community College for the duration of employment
+ Is in good standing with the College for the duration of employment and at the conclusion of the semester in which the work experience is taking place
+ Earns a grade of “C” or higher for the ELTRN 100 AC/DC Theory course during Spring 2026
+ Meet attendance requirements in school and at ADM
+ Upon selection into the program, students will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment background process as administered per ADM policy/procedures.
Spring Semester 2026
+ Program begins January 2026 and ends May 2026
+ Onsite hours will be in the afternoon Monday through Friday
Job Introduction:
You will learn about the fundamentals related to:
+ Basic Electrical Circuits
+ Electrical Measurements
+ Circuit Analysis
+ Inductance and Capacitance
+ Combination Circuits
+ Transformers
+ On the job shadowing and training will be always provided alongside a mentor or senior colleague
Job Requirements:
+ Ideal candidate should possess strong people and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task
+ Possess excellent interpersonal skills, customer service skills, as well as a motivated personality with a willingness to take initiative
+ Proficient in the use of a computer with experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel preferred
+ Must be able to hear and speak clearly; read, comprehend and communicate, orally and in writing to effectively communicate in person or by phone.
+ Position may require sitting for prolonged periods of time; standing, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing a ladder, kneeling, and operating a keyboard.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Restrictions: Under no circumstance will a student worker be permitted to drive or ride in a motor vehicle while on ADM property. Student worker will not operate or to work with power-driven hoisting equipment (forklifts, skid steers, backhoes, manlifts, etc.), power-driven chain saws or any cutting machinery, among others.
Upon selection into the program, students will be required to successfully pass ADM’s pre-employment background and screening requirements.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
