Summary
The Bank Products Manager drives the development and management of banking products for both Academy Bank and Armed Forces Bank, with special expertise and emphasis on the credit card suite of products. The credit card product focus will also encompass offerings related to the Embedded Banking operation. The Bank Products Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, including production teams, data analysts, Client Experience, IT, compliance, and marketing to ensure that the Bank’s products are profitable, meet market demands, deliver exceptional value to our clients, integrate seamlessly into the tech stack, and meet all regulatory requirements. Leads cross-functional, cross-organizational teams to develop and launch products into the market across the entire organization and through all appropriate channels.
Responsibilities
Bank Product Management
+ Develop and execute strategies for bank products that align with the Bank’s vision and goals.
+ Conduct market research to identify client needs, industry trends, and regulatory requirements; uncover opportunities for differentiation.
+ Design and implement product strategies to achieve revenue goals through product design, pricing, marketing, and margin management. Define product roadmaps and prioritize features based on business impact and client feedback.
+ Partner with marketing, production, and sales enablement teams to create go-to-market strategies and support product launches, including internal communications and training plans.
+ Analyze product performance and profitability against established metrics; monitor cross-sell and retention, set sales/delivery expectations, and collaborate with Client Experience to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement.
Credit Card Product Management
+ Lead the design of credit card products and programs, focusing on features, benefits, pricing, and overall competitiveness to drive profitability and revenue growth. Collaborate with internal teams for product integration.
+ Continuously identify opportunities for new card products and enhancements; evaluate cost/benefit and leverage technology, operations, and data analytics for differentiated customer experiences.
+ Direct pricing and fee strategies to optimize revenue growth. Develop programs to increase card sales, utilization, and retention through acquisition and cross-selling, measured by quarterly and annual growth targets.
+ Manage vendor relationships as the primary point of contact for operational and service issues; coordinate with cross-functional teams as needed.
+ Develop and lead cardholder loyalty initiatives. Work closely with marketing to establish annual product marketing plans and promotional calendars, ensuring compelling and consistent product positioning.
+ Collaborate with the Director of Embedded Banking to oversee credit card activity, manage network and processing errors, maintain the MasterCard relationship, and administer sponsored BIN programs.
+ Monitor market and competitive trends to identify strategies that position DFC as a leader in Embedded Banking and Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) for credit cards.
Additional Responsibilities
+ Drive product sales, balance sheet growth, and revenue for Academy Bank and Armed Forces Bank through innovation, education, and marketing.
+ Partner with leadership to set product sales goals and profitability metrics.
+ Develop business cases and present recommendations based on ROI targets, client expectations, and innovative back-office solutions.
+ Manage overall P&L for assigned product lines.
+ Recommend policy, procedure, and product changes to senior leadership.
+ Conduct risk assessments for all products to identify regulatory, compliance, and reputational risks; design and implement mitigation strategies.
+ Maintain confidentiality of client and bank information and adhere to company policies.
+ Promote and embody the Company’s mission, vision, and values (Pillars of Success).
+ Complete monthly regulatory and policy training on time.
+ Work onsite during regular business hours or as assigned.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation & Benefits
The Bank Products Manager position pays a minimum of $100,000 per year.

Education & Experience
+ High school diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field highly preferred.
+ Strong understanding of the product life cycle, product management principles, and banking regulations.
+ Proficient at analyzing data to draw recommendations and conclusions. Highly effective at using data to drive campaign construction and product design.
+ Strong financial analysis skillset with technical capabilities to build financial models with moderate complexity.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Experience with market research and data analysis in the banking sector.
+ Proficiency with product management tools and software.
Physical Requirements
The work environment is typical of a standard office or retail banking setting. The position is sedentary, involving sitting most of the workday; however, the position will involve moving about the workspace to reach entrances/exits, restrooms, conference rooms, or other areas within the work environment. Reaching may be required involving the ability to move arms in any direction. Office equipment, such as a computer and telephone, will be used requiring the ability to manipulate a keyboard, mouse, and/or keypad. The ability to decipher a computer screen or written documents is necessary. The ability to express or exchange ideas; impart information to clients, coworkers, or the public; or to convey detailed or important instructions; is required. The ability to receive and understand detailed information shared through oral or written communication is required. Position requires lifting and/or the exerting of up to 10 pounds of force.
