Your role and responsibilities
* Deliver pre-sales solution workshops, product demonstrations and technical education that articulate the business value of Red Hat solutions
* Understand Red Hat’s points of view, the competition in the market, and know how to position Red Hat’s unique value proposition.
* Lead Red Hat enablement for your team, as well as share knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from your experience.
* Apply technical and sales knowledge to create and deliver Technology Decision Points to assist with deal progression and closure in order to achieve revenue targets.
* Keep product knowledge up to date based on your understanding of the competitive landscape
* Through continuous personal development, you will become a subject matter expert and act as an influencer and trusted advisor to your team, our clients, and our business partners
* Collaborate closely with account managers, solutions sales specialists, and inside sales associates on deal progression activities
* Drive sales process continuation and excellence.
* Share knowledge with your team members to allow them to learn from your work
* Willing to obtain new annual certifications on Red Hat and/or similar technologies.
* This role is based in Austin, TX - IBM in-office and is expected to work onsite Four (4) days per week (MON to THU) and Friday Remote Work.
Required technical and professional expertise
* Experience in pre-sales, sales engineering or technology consulting
* Ability to interpret and articulate customer business and technical needs and understanding of enterprise solutions and diverse infrastructure architectures
* Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required.
* At least 2 certifications in Red Hat or similar technologies.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in IT engineering presales or support role focused on Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and/or on-premises related technologies.
Preferred technical and professional experience
* Sales Oriented Process and Customer Direct Pre-Sales experience.
* Proven knowledge of UNIX, windows or Linux based systems, preferably in Red Hat platform offerings (Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), OpenShift and Ansible.
* Experience with configuration and running demos on Red Hat Platform or other related/ similar technologies.
