NTT DATA's Client is seeking a VBA Developer to eliminate manual touchpoints in our "Pull PO " workflow. The primary goal is to automate the extraction and insertion of batch and serial characteristics into Expandable-generated ASN files before they are uploaded to SAP/Ariba. You will bridge data gaps between our ERP systems to ensure 100% data accuracy in shipping notifications.

Key Responsibilities

+ ASN Data Automation: Develop a VBA-based tool to automatically intercept downloaded ASN files from Expandable and inject required serial/batch characteristics based on SAP-generated PO data.

+ Multi-System Integration: Create scripts that interface with SAP, Expandable, and Ariba to ensure seamless data flow for serial-tracked items.

+ Data Validation: Build logic to verify that batch numbers and serial characteristics in the ASN match the original SAP Purchase Order and Expandable Sales Order before final upload.

+ Process Optimization: Transition the current 5-step manual process (Generating PO Expandable SO ASN Download Manual Update Ariba Load) into a streamlined, automated workflow.

+ Error Handling: Implement robust error-trapping to flag discrepancies in batch characteristics or missing serial numbers during the file-update phase.

Technical Qualifications

+ 7 years' experience with VBA: Advanced proficiency in Excel VBA, including FileSystemObject (FSO) for handling downloaded ASN files and XML/CSV manipulation.

+ 5 years experience working with SAP (GUI Scripting or BAPIs) and Expandable or similar manufacturing ERPs.

+ 3 years experience working with SAP Ariba upload templates and ASN requirements for supply chain collaboration.

+ 5 years experience with Data Management: Strong understanding of batch management and serial number tracking within a logistics or manufacturing environment.

+ 5 years experience with SQL/Database: Ability to query backend databases to retrieve characteristic values that may not be present in the initial ASN export.

Preferred Skills

+ Experience with SAP Ariba APIs or Power Automate for handling cloud-to-desktop file transfers.

+ Knowledge of cXML or EDI formats often used in ASN transmissions.

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
