• MES/SAP Engineer

    Overview

     

    We are seeking a MES/SAP Engineer with pharmaceutical industry experience for our Middletown, Delaware manufacturing site. This role will spearhead digital transformation planning, focusing on ERP, LIMS, MES and manufacturing systems implementation and optimization, while ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations (e.g., GMP, GxP). The ideal candidate must possess a strong IT technical background, exceptional organizational and project management skills, and be natively fluent in both English and Chinese to effectively coordinate global teams.

    Responsibilities

    1. Develop site digitalization roadmap, focusing on integration of ERP, LIMS, MES, etc.

    2. Lead end-to-end ERP (e.g., SAP/Oracle) implementation, upgrade, and maintenance, ensuring pharmaceutical compliance.

    3. Lead end-to-end manufacturing execution and operation management system (e.g., MES/WMS) implementation, upgrade, and maintenance, ensuring pharmaceutical compliance.

    4. Collaborate across IT, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to organize resources for project execution.

    5. Ensure digital solutions comply with FDA/EMA data integrity and GxP validation standards.

    6. Manage multiple projects with accountability for budget, timeline, risk mitigation, and milestone delivery.

    Qualifications

    - Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

     

    - 3+ years in ERP system implementation (e.g., SAP/Oracle), with expertise in architecture & integration.

     

    - 5+ years of digital project experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, deep knowledge of GMP/GxP.

     

    - Proven organizational skills in managing cross-functional teams and vendors.

     

    - Strong project management capability; PMP/Prince2 certification preferred.

     

    - Fluency in Chinese preferred.

     

    - Experience in multinational pharma or CDMO manufacturing sites preferred.

     

    - Knowledge of drug discovery and pharmaceutical process development processes preferred.
