• MDS Assessment Nurse

    Job Summary: Responsible for t he completion of MDS assessments and care plans for nursing home residents from admission to discharge. Assist in the ongoing organization and managements of the MDS office daily operations to assure timely completion of all regulatory requirements related to the resident assessment process. Screen potential residents prior to admission and assist in their discharge planning. Complete in a timely manner other duties as needed by direction of Assessment Nurse Manager. Participate and lead quality assurance and improvement teams. Participate in call rotations.

     

    Qualifications: Current RN or LPN license to practice in NC (NC license or multi-state (compact) license). Supervisory experience. Excellent assessment skills. Knowledge of the long term care MDS and care planning process and regulatory requirements. Good verbal and written communication skills. Professional interpersonal and teaching skills. Good computer skills. Ability to type. Must be organized and detailed focused. BLS required.
