As a **Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol Specialist** in **Newport News, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service while communicating with team members. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.

+ Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns encountered during patrols.

+ Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client personnel as needed to address security-related matters.

+ Complete required documentation and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
