    Position Summary

    The CMM Specialist-Programmer/Operator supports the Quality team by programming, operating, and maintaining coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) to inspect components, assemblies, and finished products. The role ensures products meet design, quality, and reliability standards and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing inspection data, identifying trends, and recommending corrective actions.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Program, setup, and operate CMMs to inspect products, components, and materials in accordance with engineering drawings and GD&T standards.

    * Perform first-article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

    * Analyze measurement data, generate reports, and identify trends or deviations. Recommend corrective actions when necessary.

    * Assist in implementing and maintaining inspection procedures, standards, and methods.

    * Participate in root cause analysis for process-related issues and support corrective and preventive action initiatives.

    * Conduct quality audits of manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to procedures and specifications.

    * Maintain calibration records and ensure all measurement equipment is properly maintained and functioning.

    * Support projects in Quality Systems, Supplier Quality Assurance, or Product Assurance as assigned.

    * Create and process FAIRs, service orders, and documentation to support zero-defect initiatives.

    * Adhere to safety protocols, schedules, and attendance requirements, including potential overtime, nights, or weekends.

    Education & Experience:

    * Bachelor"s degree in Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience).

    * Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing inspection/CMM operation.

    * Proficient in CMM programming and operation, including 3D measurement and inspection techniques.

    Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

    * Must be a U.S. person (citizen or permanent resident).

    * Professional-level experience operating and programming CMMs.

    * Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.

    * Knowledge of quality systems, QMS documentation, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement processes.

    * Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; able to interpret measurement data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

    * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, results-oriented manufacturing environments.

    * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; able to collaborate with global teams.

    * Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, CRM, and other PC software applications.

    * Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and strategic planning.

    * Able to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities and schedules.

    * Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and conflict-management abilities.

    * Team-player with a flexible, solution-oriented mindset.
