As a trusted customer advocate, the Global Solutions Architect (SA) will develop the technology strategy for one of our largest global enterprise customers in a complex and multi-faceted environment. You will interface with both senior executive leaders and cloud architects on a daily basis to build relationships and enable them as cloud advocates. You will help the customer design advanced cloud-based solutions, implement leading-edge technologies, adopt cloud best practice designs, and migrate existing enterprise workloads to the cloud. You will partner with various AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that solve customer business problems, build mindshare, and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. In collaboration with the sales team, you will drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth across a wide portfolio of technologies.

The ability to connect technologies to measurable business value is a critical skill for the SA role. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business challenges and articulate technical solutions to solve those problems. As part of the broader SA community you will capture and share best practices with your peers, generate internal and external technical content, and participate in hiring activities to grow the community.

Open to traveling 25% domestic with some international.

Basic Qualifications

- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience

- Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs

- Experience working with end user or developer communities

- Experience managing relationships with SAP customers and partners

- Experience in SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Cloud ERP and Cloud ERP Private

- Experience in SAP clean core design concepts, including design and build using non-SAP technologies in domains such as Generative / Agentic AI, and data & analytics

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
