    Our client, a leader in facility management and building operations, is seeking a dedicated Chief Engineer to join their team. As an Operating Engineer 5, you will be an integral part of the Facilities Maintenance Department supporting the operational excellence of the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Operating Engineer

    **Location:** Nashville, TN

    **Pay Range:** $45/h-$46/h

    **_Shift:_** _M-F, 7am-4pm_

    **_Parking:_** _Free parking onsite_

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across various systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.

    + Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems.

    + Monitor equipment readings, calibrate systems, and make adjustments to maintain efficiency and safety standards.

    + Ensure compliance with safety policies, proper storage, and disposal of hazardous materials, and maintain a clean work environment.

    + Oversee the quality and cost of work performed by external contractors, ensuring high standards of service delivery.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + High School Diploma or Equivalent.

    + 10+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.

    + Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.

    + EPA 608 Type II Certification required; EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred.

    + Proficiency in computer applications such as Word and Excel.
