Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Construction & Engineering Department supporting MEP, Commissioning, and Owner teams on a large-scale data center project. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Mechanical Engineer – Data Center Construction
**Location:** Onsite
Pay Range: $70.42 - $77.46/hr
What’s the Job?
+ Review mechanical design documents, IFC packages, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings
+ Conduct field walks to verify installations meet drawings, specifications, and codes
+ Oversee mechanical system installation including piping, equipment placement, QA/QC, and safety compliance
+ Coordinate with MEP, BIM, commissioning, and construction teams to resolve issues and clashes
+ Support testing, commissioning, punch list resolution, and final mechanical turnover
What’s Needed?
+ Mechanical engineering background with experience on construction projects
+ Ability to read and interpret mechanical specifications and drawings
+ Proven troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve field issues
+ Experience supporting QA/QC activities, inspections, and contractor oversight
+ Familiarity with mission-critical or complex facilities (data centers preferred)
